1997 harley davidson ignition?

does anyone know what type of ignition system a 1997 harley davidson heritage softail has. i am thinking that is has VDO but the resources i have in front of me right now only list back to 98. oh and please no stupid answers for points. either you know or you do not.
 
I am not sure who made the Pre-98 ignition from HD... I will get back to you on that....

The Magnavox V-Fire III system was used on all Sportster (except the 1200 Sportster Sport Model) from 98-03.

VDO made the ignition for the 1200 Sportster Sport from 98-03, all carbed TC88 from 99-03

Kimball made the ignitons for all carbed 04-up

The ignitons on injection systems were integrated into the Delphi ECM


EDIT:.....I searched on-line with no result.
That is now considered "early model" at MMI, I just went through late model a few months ago, didn't take early...Evo's were late model when I went through in 91, even though the Shovel was early then, some of the OLD SCHOOL instructors still considered it late as well. I don't have any notes from back then left, but I know some people at MMI, I will try to track this info down for you.
