1997 Ford Taurus GL coolant leaks?

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus GL 3.0 V6 the coolant leaks out as fast as you can pour it in I have already changed the water pump and this seems to be worse when i use the heater or defroster the leak looks like it is coming from the back of the motor and transmission around the bell housing we have checked the freeze plugs and they are still good does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be
