I have a 1997 Ford Ranger and the dial showing how much fuel is in the tank always shows "E", or empty, even if I fill the tank to max capacity (approx. 18-20gal). Sometimes, the dial will try to come back, but as soon as I turn off the engine and power and turn it back on, it'll just go back to "E". I was thinking it might just be an electrical problem with a sensor and an easy fix, but then again, it could be a problem solvable with professionals (and more then $200).
