1997 ford expedition eddie bauer (rims)?

a family member just sold me a 1997 expedition eddie bauer in very nice condition low miles and fully loaded but the tires are old and im going to put all new wheels & tires but im woundering what is the biggest size rims i can put on it without small low profile tire i need enough tire so when i do hit a bump or something it wont damage my rims
