My factory alarm transmitter will not disarm my 1997 factory Jeep Alarm. I have 2 transmitters. Both have good batteries. This leads me to believe there is something wrong with the vehicle alarm system. I just had the dealer reprogram both transmitters last week since I added a transmitter and so both had to be reprogrammed. I noticed about 2 weeks ago the vehicle did not respond to the transmitter when I tried to lock and set the alarm. When I returned to the parked vehicle after a few hours it responded to the transmitter (so I thought I better add a transmitter). Today I had to set the alarm manually, by using the lock button on the door panel, and can only disable the alarm by opening one of the doors with the key. This would ordinarily not be a big deal, but only 1 of the door locks will disable the alarm.
1)What can I do to try to repair the alarm myself?
2) How can I disable the alarm and start the vehicle if this 1 remaining door unlock/lock disable feature fails?
