1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 ltr. Crank replace or spun? Which is cheaper?

I have a 97' Dodge Ram 1500 an my engine is knocking. I got rid of some of the knocking by replacing the rod and main bearings. I'm pretty sure the crank is damaged. I was told I could have it spun and balanced to fix the problem, or would it be cheaper to just buy a new one? If you also have details on having it spun and shaved please let me know
