my speedometer and gas gauge does not work when the ignition is all the way on. If I back it off a little, the gauges start working but then the windows, radio, and heater shut off. What would cause that?
Your ignition switch.
Not the lock cylinder but the switch behind it, it has many contacts in it for different circuits.
Over time they may wear down, oxidize and loose contact.
If you have it checked make sure to check the connector for overheating as well, I have seen this frequently.
