cars a 97 Chev Lumina with a 3100 v6. for some reason it has a miss. It starts and runs. But It lacks power. When I first got it the check engine light was on so I had it checked. It said it needed a 02 sensor,EGR Valve, and had a miss fire on cylinder 5. So I changed the EGR and 02 sensor. It ran better after that. But sill has a miss and lack of power.
So I went had it tested this time it just said cylinder 5 misfire.So I put in new plugs and wires, also had the coils tested. after this the car still flashes that code for the cylinder 5(yes I un hooked the battery to rest the computer after) I even put on a new pcv valve and air filter and used fuel injector cleaner. what else can be happening?
So the car runs better after al this but it still don't have the power it should. could it be a bad valve or cam? or I also notice it misses/ chugs especially when sitting at a stop light.(rpm Gage goes below 1 at stop. any ideas help me thanks
