97 LeSabre Limited. 3.8L 3800 Series II V6. 4T60E transmission.
The past couple weeks Ive noticed that when im driving above say, 40mph, and go to climb a hill it doesn't want to downshift unless i accelerate alot harder and it starts vibrating pretty bad. however if i take my foot off the accelerator and then accelerate again, everything returns to normal.
No warning lights, the car goes through all the gears as it always has. just the bad vibrating.
im thinking torque converter? any ideas?
