1996 Lexus LS400 a good buy?

I'm looking for my first car, and i spotted a 1996 Lexus LS400 with 132000 miles on it. I know its high, but by looking at the age it is pretty decent millages i guess? However, the dealer wants $6000 for the car.

Here is my concern, I live in michigan would it be a good choice due to snow in here? what is the maximum amount should I pay for the car?

BUT NO WAY WOULD I PAY THIS FOR A 96, if you even gave him 2 grand 4 that he'd be laughing at you!!
and for that age you'd at least expect like, 90, 000 miles max, were has he droven to ireland and back,
well heres a pure irish wrd i use,

BOLOX! ; ) For a first car get something small n cheap, dnt go out to impress, ( i did with my first car, paid 3,000 euro, and within 2 months went in to a wall) you do silly things with your first car, and do expect to get a few bangs, and thoes bangs only make you become better at driving!! : )
dont pay this!! snow or an avalanch if i spelled it right, get a small n cheap car for your first!
 
Well, Kelly Blue Book shows the value of the car around $9K in excellent condition. So with a price at $6K, my guess is that the dealer knows the car has problems.
