I have a 1996 Honda Civic EX sedan with 17" rims (I hear bigger rims equals less MPG...that's why the mention). I average around 15 MPG of city driving on a good day. I hardly do much driving as it is though. I maybe average around 2k a year (if that) of just local driving around town. Hardly any highway driving. The body of the car has just over 200K. The engine and tranny have less than half of that though. In the almost 2 years I've owned it I've replaced the tranny (it was bad to begin with), exhaust, thermostat, spark plugs, air filter, water pump, timing belt, knock sensor, fuel filter, brake master cylinder, distributor and distributor cap. I also had the Throttle Position Sensor cleaned out. I later had to replace the entire head (gasket went and took the head with it). I know it's winter and MPG decreases during but I've averaged around 15 MPG in the summer as well. The next step I'm going to take is to replace the O2 sensors to see if that helps. But I'm running out of ideas quickly. Any suggestions on what could be the problem and tips on what to do? By the way, I should add that I do not have a lead foot.
I forgot to mention, I've also had 2 treaments of techron fuel system cleaner done in a span of 2 months.
