£740 fitted. No red key - advise? It is a 3-door petrol automatic reg P119 xxx and we bought it from an old couple who have emigrated to Australia from UK 18months ago when we bought the house from them. The car needs a "red key" to re-program the engine and without it the cost of replacement looks prohibitive. The car used by Mother and 20 month old boy, but now she is reliant on my Kia Cerato. The Honda has MOT until May 2010, Tax until end of April 2010, with insurance at £445 per year until November 2009. We can get back approx £105 on insurance, and £120 on tax. I cannot trace back Hewitt (Blackpool area?) via logbook/Honda to find out if the original owner still has red key. Frank & Margaret, the couple who migrated to Australia apparently live in Bataeu Bay New South Wales. I don't think we can be sure on any car for £1k-£1.5K so should we proceed with the repair or how can we trace previous owners quickly?
