I am debating whether or not to buy a used (3rd owner) 96 Honda Accord EX. The guy selling it told me that it's got 270K miles under the hood. Its a V-TECH engine. He also told me that it's never broken down on him, and that he drives it all the time to work and back.
This is my first time buying a car, and I have NO idea whether or not to buy it based on all what I just shared. He posted it on Craigslist asking $800 for it and when I tried to bargain the price he seemed stiff about no going below $750 let alone $600. All i know is it's super cheap and an excellent deal. The body seems to be in great shape with a few tears in the leather seats.
Is there a cutoff limit when it comes to Honda Accord mileages? I mean I feel like 270K is ALOT of miles on a car. What do you guys think? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
