Clean car, 160k+, bought from friend for $150 with blown motor, cant figure out how the heck to get the motor out from the top (even my tiny hands cant get to anything). Can I just pull the whole front subframe and roll it out? Or do I have to pull it out the top. Either way, what all needs to be removed/disconnected?

Also, is it possible to put a 3800SC from a 97+ GTP in the car? I have been underneath both my 96 SE and a friends 98 GTP and the mounts seem similar, can I put a GTP engine/trans/ECU in my car without massive alterations? (Minor fabwork should be OK)
Been looking at local junkyards for engines...the only 3100 i could find was 140k+ "poss replace" for $400. Found 3800 90k for $700 and 3800SC 70K for $1000. I really dont want to go with a 3100 if i dont have to. I can stand minor wiring issues, and im pretty sure the mounts are identical.

motor comes out bottom with subframe as far as the 3800 i wouldnt try it most of these came with the3.1 as far as disconnecting the steering shaft, exhaust, brake cali[pers , wheels of course wire harness, cv shafts, drain radiator pull hoses to radiater, and toheater core that should be it
