My 96 Taurus is losing coolant. I have to put about a gallon of coolant in it everything I drive my car (usually to and from work about 2-3 miles) The shop ran a pressure test and everything was fine. No water in my oil. No leaks... Of course my car is driving like it is brand new for the mechanics so they are having trouble finding the problem. Any other suggestions?

Did you have work done recently? Take the cap off the radiator and run it in idle for about 15 minutes (check the temp every few minutes). It almost sounds like you're water pump is cavitated.
Anyway, run it for a few minutes with the cap off...see if the water level drops suddenly. With the cap off, it wont feed into the reservoir...it may bubble over the top of the cap. If that happens, perhaps your thermostat is stuck partially closed. R&R the thermostat.
It's a guess.
Good Luck.

Sounds like you need to find a new shop. LoL They have a UV leak detecting system you can get at Auto Zone for about $40. I suggest you putting a large piece of cardboard underneath your vehicle so you can get a rough idea of where the leak is. If there is no coolant in your oil then you have to be losing it externally. It's possible that you're losing it from a freeze plug but it should have come up in a pressure check. The shop really sounds like it could get some more knowledgeable employees though.
