My car has an automatic transmission. My problem was and is the following: Usually, when the car is idle and I shift from P to R or, or from R to OD, the car kicks to the direction of the gear even when I am pushing the brakes. A mechanic told me that the motor mounts were defective therefore the kicking engine. So I changed all the mounts (including the transmission mount). However, after this repair, the car continues to do the same jerking (forward or backwards) when I shift to R or D. In fact, it seems to have gotten worse, and there is a vibration to the car when I come to a stop at a red light. Now, when I shift from P to R, there is a "click" sound to it (kind of like the sound when a nail hits a spray-can). What problem(s) is my description symptomatic of? Thanks in advance.
