1996 Dodge Dakota Radiator Transmission Hose?

I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota that i replaced the radiator in. The transmission lines going to the radiator are rubber hoses with press on connectors. One of the connectors leaks, and burps out fluid. Can i use a rubber line with a clamp over the radiator fitting instead of buying a new line with a connector?
 
sure since most are medal lines to start with most likely it way its leaking now someone has work on it and replace it once already just replace it again
