1996 Dodge Dakota Flickering Oil Light?

My 1996 Dodge Dakota 5.2L has a flickering oil light. Temperature seems fine, and oil pressure guage is in the middle. Their is also no weird sounds coming from the motor. Could the oil pressure sending unit be bad?
Other than the oil light the engine sounds, and runs fine.
 
This seems to be a known problem with dodge. Try the new sending unit, but also put a manual gauge on and check the pressure first. Dont rely on the gauge in the dash, thats electric as well.
