Could be a bad fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump is getting tired. the misfire is either a bad coil pack, wire, fouled plug or a clogged injector ar bad wire on the injector. If is misfiring allot it should be sending a code have it checked it may help pin point the problem.

Its a 96 with 240000 miles on it. It misfires when warm and is hard to start. When it is cold there isnt any problem it runs well and fires right up. Once it warms up it misfires allot and when you start it it will die almost instantly unless you rev the engine up above 3000 rpms then you can let it idle and it will run. Ive removed the thermostat to see if that would help and it dosent have the problem because the engine never warms up. It has new top of the line oem recommended wires plugs and a new fuel filter. It has alyas been run with amsoil full synthetic oil and extra large filter. The engine is in great running condition besides the misfiring and hard starting. What component would cause this problem?
