1996 buick lesabre will not shift into drive....help!!!?

The car starts up fine ...But when i shift into drive the car doesn't budge at all ....when i put into to reverse it fine drive and the rest of the gears seem to not work ....i flushed the trans flud replaced the filter and gasket a few months ago does anybody have a clue?? .............help!!!!
 
see if its got a modulator valve on the tranny, it could be bad or the lock-up converter, but it sounds like a band broke that works the forward gears, you would be better off, just get another tranny, 1 that you know is good.
