you have transmission problem. the shift fork and shift drum is worn out or bend fork. you need to have r&r engine to repair transmission. If you cant. Have a professional help you with this. as for carb. You need to clean carburetor. because it have Varnish ( Green ) inside because of using unleaded gasoline. Next time use super gasoline. The popping sound that means running leans. need to clean carb.
 
Got some problems with no. 1, transmission is not staying in 1st gear, popping out, just rebuilt both master and slave cylinders on clutch, they seem aok.
No. 2. bike has been setting up for about 6 to 8 months. Front carb. floats stuck and overflowed, back did just the opposite, but both seem ok now. Now its popping back on one cylinder, and when driven down the road has a habit of just dying. Will restart after a few minutes.
