one day my firebird did not start after i had driven it fine all day so the 1st thing that i thought was the fuel filter i removed the breather and put gas then it crank after about half a mile it shut off i replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump and it does the same thing if it cranks it idles up very high and if i dont hold the gas down far enough it shuts off and sometimes the opposite if i hold the gas pedal down 2 much it shuts off i do not have a catalytic converter and i noticed that the exhaust was extremely hot(orange) right beneath my oxygen sensor
i also put a tester on the computer module and it kept reading error so now im thinking maybe a bad oxygen sensor or computer
