Pulling Out My Hair

I'm looking at possibly buying a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a 2.5L I4 in it. It has 155,000 miles on it though and I seem to remember seeing somewhere that that is very high mileage for this engine, is this true? For a Ford Ranger or something I wouldn't be concerned about this mileage, but I don't know too much about Jeeps. What usually causes these engines to fail? My brother is a mechanic so between the two of us I figure we can do most things ourselves, is this a Jeep worth looking at? Thanks for any insight.
