When I start my car after letting it sit for a night it drives a little better but after a while going into 1st I have to press the gas all the way down just to start going and so I have to let the RPM's go higher so that I do not go slow into the next gear. In 4th gear I can push the pedal all the way down and I end up slowing down but I can still hear the engine going. I brought the car to a mechanic and he said I needed a new computer which is the same thing as a new ECU right? I just want to make sure before I purchase one if the engine is a d16z6 vtec it should be the p28 ECU?
