1995 honda accord v-tec?

PLEASE HELP ME. i have a 1995 honda accord. when i got it the battery was beyond dead. the guy i got it from sayed he was driving it and it died. i trailored it home and took off valve cover.. broken timing belt. i replaced it. so when i went to start it i jumped the battery and all the dash light flickered on and off and the rear marker lights as well. any suggestions would help. i cant take it any where to get diagnostic test its stuck at home
i also pulled the battery out of my dads truck, wich is fully charged with 13/14 volts, and hooked it up and tried it bt still the same problem.. please HELP ME!
 
Well have a mechanic check the distributor, then check the alternator. And if its not that, then have a electrical diagnostic, and when u fix it, sell it and get a new car.

maybe it's not charging the battery like it should.

when you turn the key into the on position, does anything work? like the dome lights, guage lights, radio, etc...

did your dad's battery make anything come on inside?

maybe you need new terminal connectors. if they're corroded bad, broken or not making good contact with the battery posts, maybe try replacing those?
