Hi, I have a 95 Aspire. When i turn the ignition over a loud click occurs, and that is it. To test if the starter had gone bad i tried it with the headlights on. the loud click occured as the lights tuned completely OFF.
After the headlight test, a rapid clicking sound could be heard from the area of the left headlight (drivers point of view). with the headlights in the "park" position, the rapid clicking comes from the area of the right headlight.
prior to these tests all systems worked fine without the engine running. headlighs, signals, radio, fan, etc.
I can still push start the car without too much trouble, and all systems work correctly while the engine is running.
I suspect a short or loose wire, but would apreciate ANY help here. Thank you in advance!
