1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 EGR Valve hookup, help needed....see link of picture of...

...diagram and please help. thx..? I just had to replace my intake manifold on my 95 Ram 1500...Its a 4x2 with a 5.9 with the egr valve hookup. The question is, I have all wiring back in place and all vacuum lines back in place, I have one that is giving me a little bit of a hard time..I have never fooled with an EGR valve before. It is in place and the larger rubber hose from the Valve to the black valve adapter or whatever it is, is connected but there is a plastic outlet sticking out of the other side...See the picture I found online of the EGR valve for a Ram 1500...The black valve on the top of the picture, it is the part that has no hose on it on the right side of the top black valve piece..what connects to that??? does anything connect to it?? or does it stay unattached to breathe?? I cant find an available line for it to connect to...any help would be of great appreciation..Thanks a million... Here is the picture link below...thanks again....

The nipple that is disconnected has a vacuum hose that goes to the purge solenoid, you will find it mounted on the drivers side of the intake manifold. The purge solenoid is near the rear of the intake. The vacuum line then branch's off and connects to manifold vacuum. The nipple for that is on the same side as the purge solenoid, but closer to the front of the intake manifold.
