You should have your car's computer system checked for fault codes. I doubt it's still there as you said the check engine light went out after you turned the car off and started it again. Still, a memory code may be in the system and that may tell what went wrong. I think on a '95 Chrysler if you turn your ignition from off to on, off, on, off, then on again and watch your check engine light, it will flash the code to you in two digit codes. 5 flashes followed by 5 more flashes means "all clear--no trouble codes". You may just want to take it to a qualified technician for diagnosis.
