We somehow acquired a relative 95 Monte Carlo and I'm getting tired of it taking up space in our driveway. My aunt said that she just put a new water pump in it but that did not remedy the problem. When the car is warmed up, there is NO heat (the inside the car heat) which means to me that the pump is not running. My questions are:
How do I check to see the water pump is pumping through the radiator?
Is it the thermostat that possibly gone bad and where is it located?

Other things to my knowledge...
When driving the car, the exhaust fogs...or mists... when initially started but stops.....meaning to me that it is NOT the head gasket blown.
Just trying to give yall all the info that I can so I can get an accurate answer.

~And save the stupid answers like "i dont know" or "that sucks for you" for people who give a s`h`i`t.

~Thanks!!

ok, the thermostat may have gone bad. look at your radiator and follow the top hose into the block. the thermostat should be right there between the radiator hose and the block. you hafta unbolt a little metal plate to get to it.

If you have a radiator cap on top of the rad then you can take it off and look inside while the car is running to see if the fluid is moving, if not then let it warm up and feel the top radiator hose it should be warm or hot if it is then your thermostat should be opening okay, and you may have a plugged radiator or the electric fan is not turning on, bad sensor or motor, as for no heat inside it could have something to do with the pump or thermostat, I don't know how those engines are set up, you can feel the hoses as well if one is hot and one is cold it's either you flow valve or a plugged heater core.
