1995 buick century station wagon hood problem?

Okay well my dad has a 1995 buick century station wagon and the hood latch for my car got disconnected so i cant open the hood. i cant reconnect it either.. Any way to open it? [without going to a mechanic, i dont have the money]
 
While it can be tricky, you can usually reach up from underneath and unlatch it manually. You may have to remove some deflector panels between the bumper and radiator to open up some room. If you are persistant, and careful, you should be ok...
 
if the cable broke at the handle inside the car just cut enough of the cable housing away to expose the remaining cable and pull it with a pair of pliers or reach through the grill with a long pair of pliers and grab the cable their and try to yank it open
