1994 Pontiac Transport engine squeaking?

I have a 1994 Pontiac transport. It has recently been squeaking somewhere in the engine. I think it is the water pump, but I'm not too sure. I have gotten close and tried to hear where it is coming form, but everything is right next to each other, so it is a little bit hard to hear it. How can I make sure what it is? If it is the water pump, what can I do to fix it?
