I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX. The only time the timing belt was ever changed was at the 90,000mile mark. I have now well over 300,000miles. I know this seems bizare but it's true. The car definitley has it's problems but the belt has lasted much longer than it should. I am having trouble with my car cranking sometimes and I have tried many things to fix, but I have not changed the timing belt. What happens is I get in the car and crank it....it turns over fine, but will not fire off even with full tank of gas. If I turn the key and let it sit for a moment(5sec) then crank on, it will crank. Could a bad timing belt ever casue the motor to not crank right away?
