I am not sure exactly on this model. There is supposed to be a special tool to release the line. I am apprehensive about saying this for sure, as they claimed the same thing on the Bronco II I had. But it had a pin that had to be tapped put.
The booger on this is if you break the line, it is a dealer only item and just any off the shelf part will not work. At least that was the way it was five years ago.
