1994 Ford Bronco 4x4 with 5.0 wont start?

Here is what is going on. I can crank over my bronco all day and it will not start. During the first few cranks it almost started but doesn't. I have checked and I know that I am getting spark. I can get the Bronco started with starter fluid. When it does start it will run without any problems. If I turn the engine off before it is hot, it will start again. But if I turn it off after the engine is hot, then I need to use started fluid to get it started again. I have already changed out the fuel filter. I have some people telling me that it is the fuel pump but I was wondering if it could be something different because a fuel pump is expensive and a pain to change. I have about 3/4 a tank right now. When I turn the ignition I can hear the fuel pump buzzing but it sounds abnormally loud. Please help.

The noise tells me it is the diaphragm in the fuel pump, it is louder because of the rupture. The spray gets it going, then the manifold vacuum pulls the fuel all the way from the tank past the ruptured diaphragm in the fuel pump. It starts when warm, because it uses less fuel than running the choke circuit when cold starting. Get an electric fuel pump from any store, mount it on the fender wall in a safe place. Keep the fuel lines from heat, or use braided. Then simply join the pump into the fuel lines, put an inline filter before the pump in an easy to change spot. I bought my 12v multipurpose fuel pump from Acklands for $30 and wired it with an inline fuse to the battery and to a switch under the dash. Good luck and Cheers.

Make sure your ECU is still good, and if it's good then check into the fuel pump, and change the thermostat that could be why it doesn't start after you shut it off when it's hot.

sounds like fuel pump is getting weak and it's getting hared for it to overcome a slight vaporlock situation. Should clear up with a new pump.
