B bikeworks New member Jun 21, 2009 #1 I have a 1994 Escort with a replacement 1.9L Jasper engine in it which has about 35K miles. Yesterday the timing belt broke. Does the 1.9L bend valves the same way as the 1.4L does/did or should I take the chance and replace the belt?
