ok this is my MOM'S truck so dont yell at me. she told me it was making a noise... i started it and WOW what a NOISE! its a loud knock thats pretty consistent on the passengers side. i first thought it was lifters so i removed valve cover to find everything ok. the knock is kind of unusual to me i guess cause to me a knock will always knock. on this truck it will knock for a few seconds then go away for 5 or 10 then come back in and knock some more. i then checked oil pressure and its fine along with temp is fine. i did discover however that oil was 2.5 qts low. so now im thinking rod bearings. i would like some input before i tear this damn thing apart to fix if it could be something else. thanks
