1994 Dodge Intrepid Help!!! Please!!!?

I have a 1994 dodge intrepid 3.0L V6 Automatic. The car will not shift out of first gear. It also has stalled a couple times and the check engine light keeps coming on. The Speedometer stopped working also.
This all happened at once. I'm trying to figure out what this might be and how bad it is because I have no money to bring it to a mechanic right now.

Any information would be helpful.
 
it sounds like ur tranny is going out my uncle has a 89 dodge and last year his car wouldnt shift out of first and his whole tranny locked up it costed him $4500 to fix it oh and it makes Sense that ur speedometer isnt working because that uses the gears inside of ur tranny to work it could cost u about $1200 to get ur tranny rebuilt
 
1 bad battery or bat connection can cause all these things start there
2 go to any auto parts store for free battery/alternator check AND free scan of check engine lite
