1994 Chevy 5.7 liter, 700r transmissions, what is interchangeable with transmissions?

need to know if a transmission from different vehicle will work in truck

better use an 87+ 2wd truck or car 700r4. Nothing else will work without changing driveshafts. Any other chevy V8 transmission will bolt up but they are different lengths and the driveshaft would need to be changed. In your truck it might mess with the computer too i dont know.

There are 2 or 3 other trans that will swap , but why not get another 700R ? It is the best one for gas mileage as the others are not overdrive .

is urs computer controlled? cas if it is ur gonna have to rig up sum stuff to put in a diff trans... TH350 shud bolt up to the engine tho......also a power glide wud bolt up.... but u gonna need to no wich crankshaft bolt pattern u got.....i think anything 88-95 will work with urs but not sure because dont no if ur motor is original.....
