I have a 1994 buick lesabre 3800. The service engine light has started to come on while driving (it has not started to flash at this point). My car has stalled twice and my dash lit up, but it started up right away. It seems to be losing a little momentum, and I hear a little noise coming from under the bottom of the car. I had my battery and alternator checked at Autozone, and they are working fine. I asked Autozone to do a Diagnostic test, but they said that my car is to old...that I have "first generation obd".
The then handed me an odd shaped key to stick into my cars Diagnostic Port under the dashboard. He explained to me how to retrieve the code so that I could find out why the service engine light is coming on. Well it did not work for me...my service engine light did not flash at all.
Can someone simplify how to test it myself since I am broke for now. I could not find any online videos.
