My mate has got a 1993 Toyota Corolla Seca, it has an automatic gearbox. It suddenly decided that it doesn't want to go forwards anymore, and has ditched Drive, Second and First gear, but it will reverse.. After letting the car sit over night, it started to work again, until it gets a few blocks away, then loses all forward motion again.. Could this be a belt inside of the gearbox? And if so, Can this belt be changed from UNDERNEATH the car, so that the whole engine doesn't have to be pulled apart to get to the gearbox (It's front wheel drive) OR could there be something else causing this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
