Hi, I'm 18 and I have a toyota camry le 1993, it's my first car =]. When I accelerate fairly hard, there is this high pitched squealing noise coming from the engine, now this noise only happens about 65% of the time upon hard acceleration. sometimes when i accelerate really fast the engine sounds completely fine. i had the serpentine belt and pullies replaced, oil and filter have been recently changed as well as front tires. Sears told me that the car was unrepairable and that my motor mount had been shifted to the right. My mechanic i've trusted for years says there is nothing wrong with the car.... Can someone please give me some insight as to what is going on with my car, is it safe to drive like this? Also, whenever I brake, use power windows, or use anything power all my lights dim and the headlights dim significantly. This car did die while i drove it once, but the battery light was on so i got the serpentine belt and pullies fixed.
