I know this is a dumb question but I was forced to purchase this car and i'm very concerned about my gas mileage. Obviously it was never going to be great but i've only had the car a few days and when i turn the car on it says i'm on empty. I started just under a half tank of gas. I've only gone 110 miles or so. The tank should be 18 gallons. The car only has 40k miles on it. When the car is off the the needle is currently sitting at around 1/4 tank, which is what I figure I ought to have. I know part of my answer will come when I fill the tank and see how much gas is needed to fill the tank. But any help with this would be great. Thanks in advance.
