On a car that old I would assume you would only have comp ins. Insurance is the same as any car with comp.
They were good reliable cars at the time but it's 16 years old,
have a good mechanic check it over before buying.
Bad on gas, high on insurance since it is a 2 door sports car. Cheaper on insurance than a Civic Coupe or Scion tC, but still expensive. Mazda's are a little more expensive to maintain and fix than other Japanese cars.
