I was driving home last night and all of the sudden my engine started running hot!! I pulled over to get some water for the radiator and it was dead dry so i was there a half hour cooling it down, then drove less than 2 blocks and the engine was back up running hot! I started it up the next morning it started just fine. So besides putting more coolant and cleaning the throttle body what else could i do??
I just took a 2nd look at it and the radiator isn't leaking anything, i double checked, but there's is rust looking flakes in the coolant. Would a flush fix this? and what kind of permanent damage could this cause?
