I have a 1993 Explorer Sport 5spd. Every once in a while when i go to stop at a red light or a stop sign the brakes will start to engage then lock up causing my ABS to kick in. Im trying to figure this out for I have never encountered this before. Any quick fixes???
If I suspect the ABS Unit. Could i disconnect the electrical and try it without the ABS?
actually a bad abs unit will cause this to happen on that one,have a shop take a look at it and determine if the abs unit is going bad,certain signs of a bad abs unit are grabbing brakes and slight drag on the brakes sometimes,or an abs light coming on for no reason,good luck.
