im trying to replace my rear 1992 honda accord speakers. everywhere online it says the speakers are 6 1/2". i went to install it, and first of all, there are 3 screwholes on the speaker cover. There are 4 screwholes on all the speakers that are 6 1/2". My plan is to jb-weld the speakers to make get them to sit in the car well. Anyway i have tryed to get the speakers to fix just wont fix with the speaker cover.
My question is, if i use 5 1/4" speakers, would i be able to get them to fit.
Also, the speakers i am trying to install are VR3 speakers, which are a low price speaker. This is the other thing i am wondering, is it possible that the shape of these speakers are different from the shape of higher priced speakers and thats why they will not fit?
If anyone else has a success installing speakers in a 1992 honda accord lx, please let me know how you were able to get your rear speakers to fit, and what the name/model of your speaker it.
