My 1992 Honda Accord EX Wagon broke a belt tonight and I have no idea what kind of belt it is or if it is safe to drive (I only drive it to work which is about a half mile away). The car still starts, goes into drive/reverse/etc, lights still work, the AC has never worked but it still blows air through the vents at least. I am at a loss as to what this belt is/does and how expensive it will be to get replaced... There is one other belt visible under the hood right along side it which is fine. The belt that broke looks like it went around at least 3 different parts from what I can see. Should I not drive the car to work tomorrow or would it still be okay to drive just down the road? And any idea how much this costs to fix?
