I've been having issues with my brakes for about 3 weeks now. We first noticed the problem when the brake light went on. I have a 92 Honda Accord w/ ABS. I got my front brake pads replaced and added brake fluid to the reservoir and the light went off. My pedal still goes very low and feels soft. I was told it might be the master cylinder or air in the lines. What should I do? Have the brakes bled and then see if the problem is corrected? And how long does it take to replace a master cylinder? How much? Thank you for your help. I've been reading many articles online and somewhat understand the brake system but need some more help. I am a woman and I feel like the male mechanics think they can make an extra buck off me since I'm am somewhat ignorant when it comes to car repair.
