Just helped my dad with his 1992 Ranger. We took out the starter because all it would do is click, and everything else including the wires are in working condition. hooked the starter to a 12v source, and it kicks (as in it starts to turn and engage as it should), but wont turn over, just goes back to its default position. Starter is approx. 3 years old and sat untouched in the ranger for 2 years. Any ideas?
