I own a 92 Buick Riviera with about 75k miles on it. The problem is, it will randomly shut off. It only shuts off when I am at a complete stop, and I have noticed that this only occurs when I do things that involve a lot of hard turning like parallel parking. It also happens when I come to a stop off of the expressway. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm thinking of getting its oil changed to the best grade to see how that will work out. I've brought it to a mechanic and he cant figure out what's wrong with it either.
Well, the mechanic said that it may be the problem but that would cost about 1,000 dollars because of where the filter is placed on the Buick. Does this sound right?
